Nørgaard paa Strøgets #101 t-shirt er designet i 1967 af Jørgen Nørgaard. T-shirten er strikket og syet i Danmark og lavet i 100% bomuld. #101 t-shirten er onesize, men fås i to forskellige længder. Den langærmede t-shirt bliver produceret i tre forskellige striber og i alle regnbuens farver.

Nørgaard paa Strøgets #101 t-shirt er designet i 1967 af Jørgen Nørgaard. T-shirten er siden blevet solgt i mere end 3 mio. eksemplarer. #101 t-shirten er flere gange blevet nævnt som et dansk designikon og er en del af den permanente udstilling på Designmuseum Danmark. T-shirten har desuden været udstillet på flere særudstillinger på danske museer. I 2014 modtog Jørgen Nørgaard årets ærespris til Elle Style Awards, ligesom Jørgen Nørgaard blev hædret med Designrådets pris i 2007.

Jørgen Nørgaard købte butikken på Strøget af sin far Mathias Nørgaard. Mathias Nørgaard grundlagde i 1944 Sørgemagasinet, der solgte tøj og stof til begravelser og sørgetiden efter. Jørgen åbnede i 1958 Nørgaard paa Strøget, en af Danmarks første butikker, der henvendte sig til tidens unge. I 1967 lancerer Jørgen #101 t-shirten. Navnet er inspireret af amerikanske klassikere, highway 101 og Levi’s 501 jeans.

MUJI ILLUM Copenhagen, MUJI’s flagship store in Denmark, opened on Friday 9th October 2020 on the 4th floor of ILLUM, a department store located in central Copenhagen.
The flagship store introduces TeaHouse, MUJI’s first tea room in Europe. The menu at TeaHouse includes a fine selection of tea, coffee and pastries as well as a range of Japanese confectionary. TeaHouse counter is clad with a basket weave material made from willow whips, featuring the traditional weaving technique in Denmark to make small weaving products. The basket weave is made by hand on site by a local artisan.
In addition to a wide range of daily necessities such as fashion, household goods and food items, the flagship store also introduces a variety of locally grown and produced food, including sixteen types of tea to customers in Denmark. Working together with Danish tea advisors, MUJI has developed a series of special tea blends for customers to enjoy at home.
MUJI ILLUM Copenhagen will strive to serve as a community-based store to foster connections among people and also to connect people with the society.
